Social workers identified domestic violence in almost 200,000 child protection assessments carried out in the year to March 2015.
Home Office Minister Karen Bradley announced the figure following a question in parliament from Labour MP Jim Cunningham. Domestic violence was cited as a “relevant factor” in a total of 197,700 assessments, she said.
Child protection assessments are carried out by local authority social workers under section 47 of the Children Act 1989 whenever a child is thought to be at risk of harm or has already been identified as being so.
The Minister referred to recent Office for National Statistics findings which suggested that children are present in close to half (46 per cent) of all domestic violence cases – approximately half again of that total (20 per cent) actually witnessed the abuse.
Bradley said:
“The government works closely with charities, academics and statutory agencies to assess and address the impact of domestic abuse on children and wholly recognises the life-changing impact domestic abuse can have on the lives of children.”
Yes good on them for highlighting the perpetrators.
What they will totally ignore and not acknowledge is where the perpetrator is female.
Evidence/motive/witnesses and not a single action will be taken.

The position of the innocent man is treated as you will expect a paedophile to be treated.
Everywhere this man seeks help, will turn him away or not involve themselves.
The man’s character is destroyed, and life will get worse
