Specialisms

Gemma deals with all types of family law work including advising on divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, unmarried couples and parents alike, pre-and post-nuptial agreements and private children matters.

Gemma is an active member of Resolution, the national organisation for family lawyers and is currently a panel member working on a pilot project together with the legal charity Law for Life to provide affordable advice to clients. When possible, Gemma provides pro bono legal advice at her local Citizens Advice Bureau and is also a member of the Association of London Welsh Lawyers.

Approach

Clients and colleagues alike have praised Gemma for her exceptional client care and her ability to not only reassure clients but provide them with constructive and sound advice. Gemma recognises the importance of keeping matters out of court but when proceedings become necessary, Gemma has experience in guiding her clients through each stage.

Training & Employment

Gemma studied at the University of Wales, Swansea before qualifying in 2015 at a boutique firm in North London. She then went on to work at a highly regarded Legal 500 firm in South West London. Gemma joined Stowe Family Law’s Esher office as a Senior Associate in February 2021.

Outside of Work

Outside of work Gemma enjoys playing netball and watching live rugby when she is not travelling around the world.
