Tamara McGaughey

Training & experience 

Tamara achieved a First Class honours degree in LLB Law and is currently in the process of completing the Legal Practice Course with graduation scheduled for July 2024. Over a span of 12 weeks, Tamara contributed to the family section of Leeds Law School’s law clinic. Additionally, she volunteered as a paralegal for six months with the community law project.

Since September 1, 2023, Tamara has been serving as a paralegal based in Stowe’s Leeds office.

Tamara began her traineeship as part of the Stowe Early Talent Programme in April 2025.

Specialisms

Tamara has not specialized in a particular area yet, but she has found a particular interest in cases involving children, prenuptial agreements, divorce, and financial remedies.

Her enthusiasm extends to wanting to be involved in cases related to surrogacy, adoption, and other matters concerning children. Tamara aims to gain further experience in handling complex cases within these specific legal domains.

Tamara takes pride in consistently delivering her best effort to complete essential tasks, ensuring effective assistance to lawyers and efficient support for clients on their legal journeys. Known for her personal approach and strong listening skills, Tamara confidently addresses matters on behalf of clients, striving to handle them to the best of her ability.

Outside of work

Tamara has a passion for all things related to music events.

She also enjoys activities such as hiking and golfing, finding joy in the outdoors. In more relaxed moments, Tamara appreciates winding down with a good Netflix series.
